Jan Cornelis Photography

I do a lot as a photographer. A lot more than just take pictures. There are so many things that I consider to be my job: the actual shoot, the post production, the final result. The secret lies in setting clear targets and making agreements. If there is one thing that I don’t like, it’s vague agreements or people that don’t clearly express their expectations.

People tell me I’m a perfectionist. By preparing every little detail with my team, I always aim for the maximum result. That is the only way you can really create the right atmosphere on the set. This is something I’ve learned from my collaboration with Frank De Mulder.

The client that agrees to work with me – in most of the cases advertising agencies, advertisers and editorial departments - really becomes part of my team. Together we create an “image that tells a story”.

I strongly believe you have to love your job to do it well. Ever since I bought my first camera, I haven’t stopped taking pictures. Nothing is more satisfying than a client that is happy because I was able to create an emotion in my pictures, set the right atmosphere or tell the right story.

I prefer to discuss my style and approach over coffee. I hope that sounds like a good idea to you? Give me a call and we’ll set a date. You will see that every encounter eventually leads to some kind of collaboration. A good one. Because my clients can count on me. I always deliver a perfectly finished qualitative image, and I am able to astonish my clients. The perfect basis for a collaboration.

I’m looking forward to it.
