Recently,Philip Maes wrote a weightless tome entitled Can someone turn up the radio, please? - a concise instruction manual to creating great radio ads. It appears the word is spreading far & wide in radio land: Croatian radio authorities are now looking to publish the work. Belgium, 12 points!

Explosive Seminar

Recently, Godfather of the Maffia and Creative Coach for the masses – Philip Maes – had a blast teaching a seminar on creative concepts to an Iranian ad agency, Aftabnet. The gig itself was set up by EGTA. A job well done, Mr. Maes.

Attack of the Busy Bees.

K&TKW refuse to sit still. This summer, the creative duo conceived the copy & layed out the logo for ‘Wwweg!’ - a website catering to Gent’s youth. They also designed the ‘Kids 4 Free’ logo for train conglomorate NMBS. Noble work, gents.

Surprise, Surprise

It’s not easy to keep track of Maffia members winning some or other advertising award. It’s more common than raindrops in Belgium. Which is why we forgot to mention that Bjorn Blockx took bronze at the CCB awards for his work on a Beekse Bergen campaign for ad agency Troy. Hooha.

A Maestro in our Midst

The Maffia caters to youngsters, too. Just ask Joris Hermy, responsible for the lively soundtrack to the mini-musical, Pluk van de Petteflet. Blinde Vink performed the piece daily in Gent this summer in front of a bevvy of wide-eyed children cooing ooh’s and aah’s. Encore please, maestro.
